Eleni Nicholas is a soprano from Durham, North Carolina. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music in May 2025 with her Bachelor’s of Music in vocal performance, where she studied with Grammy Award-winning tenor Robert Swensen.

During her time with Eastman Opera Theatre, Eleni was seen as Mother in Paola Prestini's Silent Light, performed in the Feral Children’s Chorus in Allen Shawn's H&G: a great and terrible story, and covered the role of Nuria in Osvaldo Golijov's Ainadamar. Eleni is also a frequent recitalist, with her most recent performances including a recital on Signal Mountain, Tennessee (July 2025), her Eastman School degree recital (April 2025), a lieder recital in Rochester (April 2025), and a recital in her hometown of Durham, NC (July 2024). 

Eleni is currently pursuing her Masters in Opera Theatre Performance at the University of South Carolina, where she studies with Rachel Calloway. She is excited to perform the titular role of Thérèse / Tirésias in Opera at USC's production of Les Mamelles de Tirésias in February 2026.

In addition to performing, Eleni also has a passion for arts administration and is hired as the Marketing and Social Media Director for the Ears Wide Open concert series at USC as well as an Opera Theatre GA.
